Holy Guacamole!

My first tri I was plagued with morning sickness, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and EXTREME exhaustion. I finally have reached the 2nd trimester and while I am not naive to the fact that not all nasty side effects disappear for everyone, but holy moly! The headaches I was supposed to get in 1st tri have hit.

I have never experienced migraines, but this little one is hot headed and making me quite miserable. The headaches start out as a dull pain, then magnify and finally explode. I just want to lay very still and not move.

So far not much is helping, but I am trying to drink more water and to eat a bit more. Tylenol doesn't touch this sucker...but sleep does cure it. So looks like I am heading to bed.

Like I said before...having a baby makes me deliriously happy. However...PREGNANCY DOES NOT MAKE ME ALL PUPPIES AND RAINBOW HAPPY!

HAPPY PREGNANT WOMEN

I am getting very very tired of people telling me how pregnancy is a happy time. Well, I call bullshit on this one. I do believe that some women are disgustingly happy being pregnant...such as Octomom and Mrs Duggar. However, everyone knows that these women are crazy in someway or another. While I am fairly competent and have no history of craziness...so why the heck am I being chastised for not wearing a dayglow smile on my glitter painted lips?

Pregnancy is not fun...it does not matter what trimester you are in, or whether or not you are a God fearing woman. Pregnancy comes with all kinds of aches and pains, as well as a zillion other rather disgusting side effects. This is completely normal and expected.

So for all these people who keep telling me that I am not eating healthy enough, or that I am just being dramatic I wanna say one thing.

"BITE ME" HA!

My Weekly Update

I stole this from my lady board buddy Blair...cuz she is just so cool. I like the way her brain works...she's got great ideas. I will try to do this update every week so I can look back and giggle at myself.

How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Down 1 lb
Maternity clothes? Loving my Motherhood Maternity jeans...no longer the majority of my pre-pregnancy tee-shirts as they don't cover the humpidy bumpidy.
Stretch marks? Just one...his name is Herbie.
Sleep: Not so great as I sleeping on my tummy is getting uncomfortable. However, I have made a nice nest with my back and belly pillow so that is helping lots.
Best moment this week: Watching Colbert swing his green beer and sing Irish diddies!
Movement: No movement, but I did learn the baby can have hiccups already. Very cool.
Food cravings: Deli sandwiches...turkey mainly.
Gender: My psyche has been wrong, but my hunch tells me it's a girl. I would be happy either way.
Labor Signs: Only after a big meal...jk.
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: My waist...I am sporting a man torso now.
What I am looking forward to: Twilight release, and getting the 2nd Tri energy boost!!!
Weekly Wisdom: You do not have to have skunk tail hair when pregnant. Highlights are completely safe.
Milestones: Chocolate has become acceptable to this bambino once again....YAY!!! Go Haagen Daz!

Oh Baby Oh Baby!

Well the good news is out! Colby and I are having a baby!!

We decided back in October that we would implement "Operation Condom Drop" in January of 2009. We both figured that as September was the month that we got married, that it would also be a great month to start our family. Little did we know that I am a genetic fertile myrtle and we became pregnant on the first try.

So far this pregnancy has been very hard on me, and Colby. He had no idea what he was getting himself into, and is very lucky he works so much right now. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant, and the 1st Trimester side effects are going on strong. Ugh!!!

Is this a sign of what is to come??

Okay so for the past two weeks I have been having dreams of losing my teeth. This is a new dreamscape for me, as like all girls I only dream about fluffy, pink happy things...heh heh. Anywhoo, so my first dream I had I was running into a public restroom and I looked in the mirror to see empty spaces where my teeth were, and every time I touched them a tooth would fall out. I was like a Looney Toons character that runs into a wall and then they have this toothy grin and their teeth slowly crumble out!! Needless to say when I woke up I was relieved to feel all my bicuspids, molars, and incisors. Well, then last night I have another dream except this time only one tooth was really loose, and I couldn't speak due to my tongue hitting the tooth and moving it forward.

So I am trying to figure out what does this all mean? So I have done a search on an online dream dictionary and this is what it says:

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money

Well, the first would make sense as it definitely represents my current work situation. Perhaps the work stress is now invading my dreams, and inciting fear of dentures!! The second would just be awesome if it turned out to be true!!!

Or, perhaps this dream was brought on by the woman I saw at the restaurant last night who was eating and had no teeth. Needless, to say she was in her forties and should have had her teeth, and how she ate with her gums is beyond my understanding. As I am very much teeth obsessed and easily grossed out by bad teeth, this was a moment of grossness. Sooo perhaps it made a bigger impact and that actually is the reason it invaded my dreams.

Personally, I would be much happier with no more teeth nightmares.

Happy Birthday Colby!

This last Friday we celebrated Colby's 25th birthday. We both took the day off from work, and traveled to Phoenix that afternoon to party ourselves out...jk. We actually had tickets to a Diamondbacks game for that evening. We both were excited to watch the live game, and our seats were amazing...or so we thought. Its amazing how people really do affect us, because the people around our seats ruined our game experience. On our left we had a nice old couple who made me laugh as they cheered loudly! To the right was a girl who didn't really bug us. In front of us was this twenty something beer guzzler and his cute blond with a huge honker...yes nose. We cheered and cajoled and then we cringed when the idiot guy in front of us pulled his pants down and wiped his BUTT with napkins. SICK!!! SICK!!! He proceeded to tell his woman about it and she laughed...laughed! I can tell you one thing if Colby ever dared something like that he would be lucky if he didn't get the couch for a month! This just goes to show how crass people can be...but this saga doesn't end here. When the song "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" came on everyone stood up...and he grabbed honker's buttcheek...like her inner buttcheek. Mind you she was wearing white pants with not even a thong! How do I know this??? Cuz next he put his hand down her pants. Granted she smacked his hand away, but yeah if Colby did that he would be WALKING home, and yeah his shit would be in the other room. Next to the perv was four people that sang...shouted...danced...and talked constantly and loudly. Mind you the tall guy in front of my also had a shiny and bald head...which blocked my view of home plate. So the older couple left with disgust...and so we scooted down. I swear minutes later these same people moved down too...so I was blocked and irritated again. This all included some man behind us screaming at another guy to sit down...yada yada yada. Its amazing how people can be so sick, irritating, and RUDE!! Usually it takes a lot to ruin a game for me, but those people made me so happy to leave!

I believe this experience goes to show that the morals of our society are definitely going down the drain. Perverse actions are not new, but they are being acted out more and more. Its experiences like this that make me want to live in either another time or place.
